How to wash dishes in three easy steps

Everyone hates washing up, but it has to be done. The piles of dirty crockery and designer kitchen accessories piled by the sink, the germs festering on the plates and the lack of dishes soon call for the dishes to be done. And this is how you can wash the dishes in three easy steps.

1. Wash. The most basic step and probably didn’t need to be said, but first wash the dishes, put on some rubber gloves, squeeze a little washing up liquid on a sponge and get scrubbing. Scrape off every ounce of food from the plates, scour the burnt bits off pans, soap up those glasses and soak that cutlery. Give everything a good wash, get rid of the germs and the grease!

2. Rinse. Now that you have finished the washing, put away that sponge, turn on the tap and rinse everything clean. Hold a plate under the running water and blast away the suds with the bits of food and grease, rinse it all away until you get it gleaming and shiny, it is washed and rinsed. Place the now clean dish on the drainer and get to work the rest of the dishes, rinsing everything under the tap until the drainer is packed full of clean and shiny dishes.

3. Dry. Get a tea towel, and wipe those clean and sparkling dishes dry. Then all you have to do is put it away.

Washing up is not that hard, it is just tedious when it all builds up and then a poor sod is forced to do it all while everyone else lazes around. Of course the other option, which I’m proud to say I take, is to use a dishwasher which washes, rinses and dries everything in one step. Simple right?
