How to cook sushi in three easy steps

Sushi is a tasty, satisfying meal which can be made easily using very little ingredients. This recipe makes sushi very quickly, cook it for a quick snack, a light lunch, or even break out the reed diffusers and fancy placemats, and make this as a luxury starter when having a dinner party:
This recipe makes four rolls, you can add any filling you like, fish for the authentic taste, or vegetables if you’re not a fan of cold fish.
Serves 4-6 people (assumed that each person eats two slices)
4 sheets of Nori (seaweed sushi sheets)
200g of sushi rice
A bottle of mirin or vinegar (any can be used to taste)
Various fillings-cucumber strips, salmon strips, carrot sticks.
Soy sauce and wasabi to serve.
1. Boil the sushi rice in a pint of water until nearly all the water has been absorbed, this should take around 25 minutes. Once ready, pour onto a tray, drizzle with mirrin or any dressing you like and use a paper fan or hairdryer to dry the rice to room temperature.
2. Get a bamboo sushi mat and place one sheet of seaweed Nori on it. Spread the rice over the sheet, leaving part of one side empty to seal the sushi, using a fingerbowl to moisten hands will prevent rice from sticking to them. Now you can add filling to the sushi, cucumber sticks or salmon strips.
3. Roll up the bamboo mat with the sushi, ensuring that the sushi rolls over itself and not into the mat, then tuck the empty part of the sushi under the roll. You can now chill the sushi in the fridge, and once it ready, you can cut it into pieces to serve. Sushi is nice served with wasabi or soy sauce.
